The SPORE suspension and ceiling lamp is a chandelier suitable for interiors with an epoxy powder coated metal ceiling rose and diffuser. Equipped with lamp holders with E27 bulb attachment, it has a size of 35 and 50 centimeters in diameter. Spore, with a simple and rounded design, is available in three variants: monochrome, two-tones and with metallic foil (gold, silver or copper) manually applied on the inside of the diffuser. Spore, like all our lighting fixtures, can be customized according to the individual needs of our customers thanks to the “just in time” production of our company. 80% of Spore components are replaceable in case of damage, in line with the eco-design legislation which came into force in September 2021. The Spore suspension is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy products and elements.
What materials is Lumicom Spore made of?
The Spore lamp is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy products and elements. Spore is composed of a ceiling rose and a metal diffuser, a transparent PVC electrical cable (only in the suspension version) and the attachment for the light source with lamp holder for E27 bulbs. In the metallic foil material version, the suspension is equipped with gold, silver or copper foil applied manually by our craftsmen inside the light diffuser.
The idea.
"Spore, like all our lighting products, is designed to last over time and to withstand and support any technological upgrades." - the words of Alberto Baesso, Project Leader of Way Point - “So we decided to give it the name of the spores, reproductive cells able to remain in a latent state of life for a long time and then to germinate giving rise to a new organism. A quote and an acknowledgment”- concludes Baesso - “to the great work that we carry out every day in the company to create items that, like the spores, are able to last over time.”
The processing.
The metal plate that arrives at our factory is cut into the disc shape, before taking the shape envisaged by the project by turning the plate. In the second step, the ceiling rose and the lamp are manually painted with epoxy powder colors and, if required, our craftsmen manually apply the metal foil on the internal side of the diffuser. Finally, during the assembly phase, the E27 lamp holder and the transparent PVC electric cable are inserted (only in the pendant version). The work is completed with the packaging, produced and made with recycled materials and water colors in compliance with sustainability and the green philosophy of our company.
