The MILLER suspension is a chandelier suitable for interiors with a metal ceiling rose and diffuser painted with epoxy powder and equipped with an E27 bulb attachment. The product is available in different sizes and in different combinations with one, two or three lights. Miller, with a unique, particular and contemporary design, has multiple color variations: monochrome, two-tone or gold/silver/copper foil. Miller, like all our lighting products, can be customized according to the individual needs of our customers thanks to the “just in time” production of our company. 80% of Miller's components are replaceable in case of damage, in line with the eco-design legislation, which came into force in September 2021. Miller is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy products and elements.
What materials is Miller from Lumicom made of?
The Miller suspension is made entirely in our factory with 100% Made in Italy products and elements. Miller is composed of a ceiling rose and one or more metal diffusers (depending on the model with one, two or three lights), a transparent PVC cable and the light source with lamp holder for E27 bulb, one for each diffuser provided by the model. In the gold, silver or copper leaf version it is equipped with metallic foil applied manually by our craftsmen. 80% of the pieces that make up the Miller lighting product are replaceable with spare parts to increase the life cycle of the product and help reduce the pollution of the planet.
The idea.
"In designing the Miller suspension." - the words of Giovanni Bortolan, Industrial Designer of Waypoint - “I imagined a stroke of color by Peter Miller, a contemporary artist and painter that I recently read about in a trade magazine. Miller with his works loves to evoke a sense of motion and depth, my idea, in the wake of the American expressionist, capable of projecting emotions through the application of lights in his works, was to transform a pictorial idea into a lighting object."
The processing.
Once the metal plate arrives in our factory, it is cut into a disc shape before being inserted into a hydraulic press to obtain the conical shape of the chandelier as required by the project. Subsequently the same sheet is laser cut and finally calendered to obtain the curved shape that characterizes the product. In the next step, the ceiling rose and the lamp are manually painted with epoxy powder colors. In the gold, silver or copper foil version, our craftsmen manually apply the material element to the diffuser. Finally, during the assembly phase, the light diffuser is connected to the curved plate, the lamp holder for E27 bulbs and the transparent PVC cable are inserted. The work is completed with the packaging, produced and made with recycled materials and water colors in compliance with sustainability and the green philosophy of our company.
