MADE IN ITALY AS A BRAND IDENTITY FACTOR

MADE IN ITALY AS A BRAND IDENTITY FACTOR

Not only materials and products, but also skills through a collaboration with Italian universities.

Made in Italy is a real brand that is positioned in the very first places of the most recognized brands in the world immediately after Coca Cola, Visa, and other prestigious commercial logos. In recent decades, in order to exploit the reputation of the Made in Italy brand among consumers all over the world, foreign companies have multiplied excessively trying to exploit the commercial power of the brand. The Parmesan case, a company that has a turnover of two billion euros only in the non-EU market, is only the tip of the iceberg of a (unfortunately) growing phenomenon. However, even the companies of the beautiful country have preferred to use the national identity more for a marketing strategy than for a real perspective of enhancing the knowledge and craft traditions that are recognized in every corner of the planet. On the contrary, our company has decided to go down the road that is certainly more difficult but more honest towards its customers by deciding, for some time, and not for commercial opportunities, to produce only with Italian materials as an identity and honesty choice in towards those who choose our lighting products.

Waypoint s.r.l. was born with solid italian craftsmanship knowledge. In the business and industrial development of the brand, the founding values of the company have never been forgotten, going against the tide of competitors in the reference market. In fact, in recent decades, the vast majority of producers, if not all of them, have become importers of parts of the product that are only assembled in Italy, flattening out in a global market calibrated downwards with respect to the recognized skills of local artisans and quality. and the beauty of the tricolor design. The Waypoint philosophy is diametrically opposite: Made in Italy is, and remains, a value both with respect to the final product, and above all in order not to lose, as is happening, a historical tradition of craftsmanship and design in spite of market rules that, especially in this last phase, have shown all the limits of a global economy without identity and distant from end users. All Waypoint, L-Tech and Lumicom products are 100% Made in Italy.

Made in Italy does not only mean product and materials, workmanship and design. For this reason, always with a view to continuous research, and to limit the "flight" of our talents abroad, our company has already undertaken collaborations with Italian universities aimed also and above all at the involvement of the new generations, currently very penalized from the labor market. These collaborative relationships with Italian universities create an exchange of skills and experience aimed at making the most of the excellent level of preparation of new graduates at the universities of our peninsula.

Following and accompanying the university career of the new generations will allow the Universities to constantly have the pulse of the situation of the skills required by the world of work, allowing them to create ad-hoc courses for their students that cancel the distance between the end of studies and the beginning of work activities. At the same time, Waypoint will have the opportunity to acquire highly trained skills to which, as happened in previous decades, offer the real experiences of an artisan workshop in a way that they can put the years of study to good use, acquiring the necessary skills for professional growth. The Light For Future project has already been launched through a spin off with the University of Padua and the University of Palermo. The first, in addition to taking care of the technical aspects of production, gave birth to two innovative start-ups, both based in Spilimbergo; the second, in addition to taking care of the aspects of creativity, design and research of craftsmanship lost over time, has the task of studying the use of local materials with regard to their sustainability.

Applying the Made in Italy logo to a product is a responsibility. Doing it honestly a duty.
