The COLOMBO suspension is a composition of chandeliers suitable for interiors with a single canopy and two metal diffusers. 40 centimeters in diameter, the item is equipped with E27 bulb attachments. Colombo, with a unique and furnishing design due to its multiple composition, is available in two different color configurations: one in monochrome and one with the internal side of the diffusers manually covered in gold, silver or copper foil. Like all our lighting fixtures, Colombo can be customized according to the individual needs of our customers thanks to our company's “just in time” production. 80% of Colombo's components are replaceable in case of damage, in line with the eco-design legislation that came into force in September 2021. Colombo is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy products and elements.
What materials is the Colombo pendant by Lumicom made of?
The Colombo chandelier is entirely made in our factory with 100% Made in Italy products and elements. Colombo is composed of a ceiling rose, two metal diffusers, two transparent PVC cables, two metal cables, which can be positioned according to personal needs and tastes, and a housing for E27 bulbs on each diffuser. In the gold, silver or copper leaf version it is equipped with material leaves applied manually by our craftsmen.
The idea.
"The Colombo suspension with two light diffusers is the younger sister of the original version provided with three light sources." - the words of Alberto Baesso, Project Leader of Waypoint - "The need to provide an article with one less diffuser, stems from the desire to further expand the range of application possibilities of the product based on personal tastes, individual needs and, last but not least, the different availability of space where to apply our lighting article. At Lumicom we always try to satisfy the potential needs of our customers through constant listening and a direct relationship on our social channels and through our call center."
The processing.
The metal plate that arrives in our factory is cut into the disc shape, as foreseen by the project, before being inserted into a hydraulic press to obtain the conical shape of the chandelier. In the next step, the ceiling rose and the lamp are manually painted with epoxy powder colors. In the versions in gold, silver or copper leaf, our craftsmen manually apply the material element to the chandelier. Finally, during the assembly phase, the transparent PVC cables, the steel support cables and the connections for E27 bulbs are installed. The work is completed with the packaging, produced and made with recycled materials and water colors in compliance with sustainability and the green philosophy of our company.
